Topic Study: Using a Schema Lens
Topic studies are an opportunity to put your learning to practice! Assigned learning and meetings will focus on a specific topic and then participants will report back on implementation and discuss next steps.
Description: Schema is a pattern in play and describes repetitive behaviors that allow children to gain new knowledge and understanding. It’s how young children make sense of how things words and how they affect change.
Understanding schema can inform your teaching and thinking and can shift the way you see children's play. Join us as we discover what schema is, how you can use it effectively, and learn about an opportunity to explore schema even further!
