Not Just Cute: Making Play Intentional and Powerful

Course Description: Play is more than fun—it is the foundation of learning in early childhood. In this session, educators will explore how everyday play supports brain development, language, and social-emotional growth in infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Drawing on Not Just Cute by Amanda Morgan, along with guidance from NAEYC and ZERO TO THREE, participants will learn to recognize the learning happening in play, strengthen their role as intentional teachers, and apply simple strategies to make play more meaningful in their daily practice.
