Description: Infant–toddler curriculum is often confused with activities, themes, or lesson plans. In this session, we’ll unpack what curriculum actually looks like for children ages 0–3 and why it looks different than curriculum for older children. Participants will explore four key ideas that shape meaningful infant–toddler curriculum: the role of relationships and routines, planning with a focus on development rather than activities, the importance of observation, and the impact of play and the environment. This session builds a shared understanding of infant–toddler curriculum that reflects how young children truly learn and will help infant toddler caregivers feel clearer and more confident about what they are planning for each day.
