Description: As early childhood educators we have a unique opportunity and obligation to advance equity, but how do we do it? In this session we will take a deep dive into NAEYC’s Advancing Equity in Early Childhood Statement to discover the different components that can support our practice. We will reserve time for participants to collaborate with peers, work together to discuss ideas about what advancing equity looks like in individual practice, as well as how to move this work forward in our programs. Join us as we bring NAEYC’s Advancing Equity Statement to life by working to create equitable learning opportunities for children and families and striving to honor all who enter our spaces.
