Leadering Community of Practice: Creating a Staff Community

Held virtually on Tuesday, May 31 from 6:30-8:00pm. (Worth 1.5 STARS Credits)\

“Leaders are not simply born. They possess a combination of skills that can be identified, understood, learned, and practiced.” (Martha Munoz) In this Leadership Community of Practice, we are going to take a deep dive into the skills that promote a Staff Community in early childhood programs. Staff turnover plagues our field across the nation. Healthy and productive staff communities can help to alleviate the staffing burden. We will study the Tools of Leadership Essentials from “Building on Whole Leadership,” as they promote quality staff communities. Educators will share their successes with staff relationships and will have the opportunity to problem solve with their fellow leaders.
